2007 JEEP WRANGLER JK – EXPEDITION MODDED – 2.8L CRD TURBO

Probably the most important part of any expedition vehicle is the engine. If that goes the rest of the vehicle tends to be fairly useless. The engine on this Jeep has still not broken the 100k mark and has been looked after well. The result has been the most reliable vehicle I’ve ever owned with only 2 very minor issues during over 8 years of ownership. She starts first time every time and has incredible torque and plenty of acceleration on the road. The off-road suspension has been chosen to be just as good on the road. I work in finance during the day and this is my daily driver. Because of that I’ve tried to make all the installations look as stock as possible, meaning this Jeep looks the part in 4 feet of mud but looks just as good parked outside the offices of an upmarket financial institution. I’m stopped and asked about it daily by everyone from squaddies to bankers who all seem to love it. Even the wife has grown to love this Jeep, especially when we’re setting up in a camping place and everything she needs is right there to hand. The main goal with the modification of this Jeep, however, was always vehicle dependent overland travel, which I’ve done for most of my life. If you’re looking for a SWB vehicle to get you down from London to Cape Town and back or from North to South America, this would be a very good choice. The tyres have done less than 10k. I got 55k out of the last set and then sold them to someone who continued using them. I only sold them because I wanted to upgrade the width from 255s to 275s. All the wiring has been done professionally, to the point where much of the stock wiring has been professionally upgraded. Everything works as it should and everything has been carefully installed as it should. A full list of upgrades can be found below. You’d be hard-pressed to find another Jeep better kitted out for overland travel but also for the daily commute than this one.
